A Superbill is a detailed receipt with everything your insurance company needs to process an out-of-network claim: service dates, codes, provider credentials, and the amount you paid. I provide one after each session — you submit it to your plan.
If your health plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits (common with PPO plans), you may be reimbursed for a meaningful portion of each session. To find out what your plan covers, call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask: “What are my out-of-network mental health benefits for outpatient psychotherapy, CPT code 90837?”
Select MedMutual plans are accepted for clients whose circumstances make insurance the right fit. You’re welcome to ask about this during your free consultation — we’ll figure out together what makes sense for your situation.
The free consultation is exactly the place to talk through rates, reimbursement, and fit — with no pressure attached.
