About Kate Bergman, LISW-S

The therapist people come to after they've done everything else right.

Kate Bergman is a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Supervisor in Beachwood, Ohio, and the only NARM®-certified therapist in Northeast Ohio. She works with adults who are fluent in their own psychology — many of them women — and ready for change that goes deeper than understanding.

How I Work

I work with people who are ready to stop abandoning themselves to keep others comfortable — who sense there’s something deeper than talk therapy can reach, and who want to feel safe being authentically themselves.

My approach sits at the intersection of neuroscience, developmental psychology, and the body’s own intelligence. Through NARM® and the principles and methods of Somatic Experiencing®, I help you tune into your body’s wisdom and reconnect with your own inner knowing, at your own pace. You don’t need to have it figured out. You just need to be willing to show up exactly as you are. All of you is welcome here.

Some of my work also centers on women’s relationships with food and their bodies — including as an affiliated therapist with Peace with Food, supporting women in healing their relationship with eating through a nervous system approach. It isn’t a separate service; it’s one facet of the same work.

The Room, and the Option to Skip the Drive

Sessions happen in my Beachwood office — a room designed to feel calm, unhurried, and entirely yours. It’s at 3659 South Green Rd, Suite 100, easy to reach from anywhere in the greater Cleveland area, with parking and privacy built into the experience.

If the drive isn’t practical, secure video sessions are available to clients anywhere in Ohio. The approaches I use translate fully to telehealth — many clients do this work entirely online.
